It’s already certainly been a summer of change for LeBron James, and for the first time in his career, his Zoom Soldier line is also experiencing quite a few changes of its own. After three straight years of heel and forefoot Zoom Air cushioning setups, I guess you could say the decision has been made to go a different direction, as the Zoom Soldier IV features an entirely new cushioning platform by introducing Air Max.

Along with a heel large-volume Air Max unit and forefoot Zoom Air bag for maximum cushioning, Flywire is also introduced into the Soldier series for the first time along the midfoot strap. It’s also the first LeBron sneaker to go sans his now retired “LJ23” logo, as Nike Basketball will begin to more prominently feature his Lion crest logo. Designed by Nike Basketball Senior Designer Leo Chang and retailing at $110, the Zoom Solider IV is out now in nine total colorways. Enjoy a detailed look below at the Cool Grey/ White/ Varsity Royal version.
