The event was the sixth annual Pro-Tec Pool Party. Along with dozens of other competitors looking to take home some prize money and hardware, Lasek headed dropped in to the bowl in hopes of coming up big.
As defending Dew Tour Vert Champ, Lasek’s approach to the bowl unique, but is one that both the old school and new school skateboarders appreciate. Unlike his closest competitors who stick with a strictly old school mentality when it comes to how to skate a pool, Lasek brings all the inverted twists to the bowl. Not one to overlook the technical stuff that is what makes skating the pool timeless, but Lasek’s way of combining the two styles is what elevated him past his competition to grab his second victory at the Pool Party.
