Each year Jordan Brand brings together the brightest young stars that are preparing to make the jump from high school to the college level for the Jordan Brand Classic. This year’s even will take place this Saturday, April 16 at 8:00 PM ET at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. In previous years, the Jordan Brand Classic has been a showcase of future superstars, like LeBron James, Tyreke Evans, Derrick Rose, and many others. This year’s event looks to be just as exciting with the top five players in the country, Austin Rivers, Anthony Davis, Michael Gilchrist, Quincy Miller and James McAdoo all set to take the court.
While last year Jordan Brand supplied all the players with the Jordan Icons, this year’s athletes will be supplied with special limited edition colorways of the Air Jordan 2011. Two colorways of the latest innovative creation in a long line of Jordan shoes have been created, one for each team. The first in an Orion Blue and Black combination and the second in a Black and Comet Red makeup. Of course, each colorway will feature interchangeable midsoles, allowing the players to choose between the “Quick” Zoom Air cushioning, or the “Explosive” Max Air cushioning. A limited number of the Jordan Brand Classic Air Jordan 2011 colorways is now available.

These are pretty nice. Will check them out after work today. The 2011’s haven’t exactly flown of the shelf here.
i like the blue ones better …….
with so many colorways of the shoe, I feel like the aspirational status of this shoe is being marginalized further and further.
you know what was cool about the 2010? It was such a bold and unique design that it was in fact polarizing. This on the other hand solely depends on the colorway. The design aesthetics, seemingly generic and bland, is acceptable to a wider range of people but it doesn’t inspire the person the way the 2010 did.
Maybe it’s just me.
As for the preference between the two, I’m more of a red kind of guy both on the court and off, the red looks menacingly delicious BUT I wish they had kept the sole black for a truer version of “breds” for the 2011.
@TheGonzo^^^^Since these are limited releases, I believe that a BRED colorway is still in the works. I do agree with the oversaturation of the model though. The 2010 was polarizing and only released 5 colorways if you include the all-stars. However, I like the 2011 but I will not be able to get every single colorway. There seems to be a new one every couple of days.
these colorways r great but the shoe is even better. they r one of the most comfortable sneakers since the XI’s . they look great n feel good. love em
@jrlpreacher^^ I agree! They do seem to be flooding the market with the Jordan 2011. All of of these colors are a bit much.
Alot of stores in Philly don’t have them… only HOH as themaround here
