For the last 25 years, the Air Jordan line has grabbed headlines worldwide. The sneakers that Michael Jordan wore throughout his career are easily the most famous line of signature basketball shoes. The original Air Jordan in 1985 featured the Chicago Bulls black and red colors that led to MJ being fined every time he wore them on the court. In 1988, Nike Architect turned shoe designer Tinker Hatfield penned the Air Jordan III that some say helped retain Michael as a Nike Athlete. Over the last two and a half decades Jordan Brand has constantly come to the table with extremely innovative and creative designs that sneaker fans around the globe adore. One of, if not the most loved in the series is the Air Jordan XI which was first seen in 1995. When the shoe released shortly thereafter it cause a major commotion in the footwear industry. The shiny patent leather toe rand, leather and mesh upper along with the icy clear-like bottom was far ahead of it’s time. People instantly fell in love with the shoe making it an instant classic.

So as a tribute to their 25 years in the footwear industry, Jordan Brand is releasing the all white (Silver Anniversary) version of the Air Jordan Retro 11. It does boast that white shiny patent leather that sneakerheads have grown to love as well as a grey/silver tinted translucent sole. The ankle collar of this version is an environment friendly material that changed from the original and the Jumpman logo that usually appears on the XI is not present on this pair.

The Silver Anniversary Air Jordan 11 hits tonight at 11 central / Midnight eastern.
