The Crazy 8 was one of adidas’ most popular and recognizable signature basketball shoes of the ’90s. The appeal mostly surrounded the incorporation of the brand’s “Feet You Wear” technology, which used an anatomically contoured midsole and outsole to allow the foot to act naturally while enhancing the athlete’s performance. Other features included a friction-resistant inner bootie, adiPrene midsole cushioning and stability provided by Torsion.
Last seen in 2005, the Crazy 8 is set to return in multiple colorways this year. The first run, which includes sun-, black- and white-based colorways, is set to arrive at Eastbay in early February. However, the shoe is currently available to pre-order, which is worth taking advantage of because the quantity is limited.
