This past weekend, Dwight Howard held a celebrity basketball game at the University of Central Florida, benefitting his charity, the D12 Foundation. While the NBA lockout shows no clear end in sight, the players involved did their best to entertain a basketball-hungry crowd in a game that included stars like Penny Hardaway, Gilbert Arenas, Trevor Ariza and Josh Smith. The two teams were led by celebrity coaches Lil’ Wayne and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
The game also featured an impressive array of sneakers, highlighted by Dwight Howard’s adidas adiPower Howard and Penny’s Nike Zoom Rookie. Check out the pictures below in the latest edition of Sneaker Watch.

I went to the game and there was a lot missed here! Penny warmed up in the rookies but he played in the all white foams. Keith Bogans played in the USA 5s, Earl Clark wore the glow in the dark rookies.
BTW I met Penny and he signed my Royal Foams!

I WISH I could have been there. Looks like the game was a blast – the crowd seemed to still revere Penny.
