Infinite Energy, Infinite Possibilities: The Brooks Levitate

Where would you go if you had infinite energy? What would you do?

Climb Mount Everest? Run the Great Wall? Cross the U.S. like Forrest Gump?

Infinite energy means finally chasing your dreams. And whatever those dreams are, Brooks wants to help you reach them. Enter: the Brooks Levitate running shoe featuring new DNA AMP cushioning.

DNA AMP: Breaking Down The Science

In creating DNA AMP, Brooks had one goal: make running an easier, more enjoyable experience. To do that, Brooks needed a midsole that was soft and comfortable, yet durable enough to put as much work into every run as you do.

The solution? Polyurethane (PU). One of the most popular materials used in foam cushioning, PU is flexible, supportive, and comfortable. And it’s not affected by heat or cold, making it an ideal choice for running shoes.

Next, Brooks encased this PU foam inside a thermoplastic urethane (TPU) shell. We know, it sounds complicated. Basically, TPU is all about durability. It’s impact resistant, flexible, and super elastic.

What does all this mean for you, the runner? Well, it means a plush underfoot feel, smooth transitions from heelstrike to toe-off, and unbelievable energy return. DNA AMP adjusts to your stride, absorbing the impact of each footstrike and returning it back to your body. So, the harder you work, the more the Levitate gives back. And when your shoe works as hard as you do, it becomes the best kind of running partner.

The Levitate: A Closer Look At The Shoe

Brooks Levitate Upper

Upper: From top to bottom, the Levitate is built to deliver a better run. That starts with a FitKnit upper that forms to the shape of your foot and moves with you as you run, stretching seamlessly through each stride to support and complement every step.

Brooks Levitate Midsole

Midsole: Soft. Responsive. Springy. DNA AMP has it all, and this revolutionary midsole cushioning is ready to take your run to a whole new level.

Brooks Levitate Outsole

Outsole: The Levitate’s outsole features a flexible, arrow-point traction pattern that works together with DNA AMP to help you pick up the pace by encouraging a faster transition from heelstrike to toe-off.

Lacing up the Brooks Levitate does come with one small warning – once you start, you might have trouble stopping. But when a run feels this good, who can blame you? With infinite energy, there are no limits, no restrictions, no excuses.

Are you ready?
