While most NBA players spent All-Star Weekend attending media events and celebrity-hosted parties, Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings traveled back to his hometown of Gardena, California along with Under Armour to refurbish his childhood basketball court at Rowley Park. The updated court features a green Sport Court rubber surface with Under Armour and Brandon Jennings “BJ3” logos applied throughout. Premium NBA regulation hoops were also installed for play. For his efforts in the community, which also included a refurbishing project at his first school in Compton, Jennings was the recipient of the NBA’s Community Assist Award for February.
When brainstorming colorway ideas for his new Micro G Bloodline signature shoe with Under Armour, Brandon wanted an all-green colorway that represented the brand new Rowley Park. With that in mind, brand designer John Humphrey crafted this pair in Rowley Park Green, complete with street map details on a reflective cross-strap with a Rowley Park call-out front and center. Additional reflective detailing was added to the collar, while a white rubber outsole provides a bit of contrast below.
In this exclusive Eastbay video, we had the opportunity to sit down with Humphrey and UA Director of Basketball Footwear Ryan Drew for a little more insight on the Rowley Park Green Micro G Bloodline. You can pick up a pair of these new Under Armour basketball shoes over at Eastbay today.
