In most of this year’s Sneaker Watch coverage, Gilbert Arenas has found a way to be featured. Without a footwear contract this year, he’s been switching up his choice regularly, often times reaching into his own personal collection to come out with a Retro that has sneakerheads drooling. However, there are plenty of athletes that get to do the same each and every day in the college ranks.
Over the weekend, hundreds of college teams took to the courts, and there seemed to be a heavy influence of Jordan shoes; more specifically, Jordan Retros. Not all teams will allow players to choose a shoe that isn’t supplied to the team, but for those athletes that can choose, college may be the last chance they get to have a say in their footwear.
With that in mind, many players seem to choose a recent Retro model like the Cool Grey Jordan 11 or the Flint Jordan Retro 13. Some players, however, dig a bit deeper to help them stand out on the court. Check out the NCAA Watch coverage below to see some of the surprises from this weekend’s action.
