It’s been a crazy week in Major League Baseball. A-Rod and Strasburg are both taking some time on the DL to nurse injuries, Albert Pujols has crept up the 400 home run mark for his career, and the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays are quickly becoming one of the best rivalries in baseball.
While last week it seemed that division leaders seemed to be the key match-ups, this week it seems to be possible post-season previews that litter the schedule. In the American League, the Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins are in the midst of a heated series. In the National League, the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds are doing battle as well.
This week’s MLB Watch is highlighted by some eye-catching footwear not available yet to those without a big league contract. Robinson Cano seems to be enjoying the Nike Diamond Elite, and with his colorway being subtle he doesn’t have to worry about being fined like Brian Wilson. David Ortiz has been making the most of his Reebok U-Form Player Exclusives. However, it was CC Sabathia that really stole the show, wearing some “Concord” Jordan 11 cleats to grab his American League-leading 17th win of the season.
