This weekend marks the long awaited return of the Air Jordan 14, originally released in 1998.
Together, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith worked on the XIV’s aerodynamic design, which was inspired by Michael Jordan’s Ferrari 550. Of course, the model has the distinction of being the last worn by Jordan as a member of the Chicago Bulls.
This weekend, the 14 arrives in an all-new black and vibrant yellow colorway that has been dubbed ‘Thunder’ by collectors due to its resemblance to a popular Air Jordan 4 decked out in the same scheme. The shoe sports a rubbed, all-black nubuck upper, complemented by hits of vibrant yellow on the Jumpman shield, heel detailing, midsole and outsole.
These Jordan shoes will be available at Eastbay for $170 this Friday, July 4 at 8:00 a.m. EST / 7:00 a.m. CST. Follow @Eastbay on Twitter and @OfficialEastbay on Instagram for all release information and updates.
