LeBron James displays superhero-like qualities on the court, so it’s probably no coincidence his latest signature low-top has surfaced in a colorway that some have likened to the Man of Steel.

Exclusively produced in gradeschool sizes, this Nike LeBron 11 Low sports varying blue tones on its Hyperfuse constructed upper, with red accenting the forefoot Swoosh and tongue pull-tab. Yellow works the inner lining, eyelets, Max Air bag and outsole to cap off this vibrant look.

If you have a youngster at home dreaming of leaping tall buildings in a single bound, laces them up in a pair of these Nike basketball shoes, now available at Eastbay.

In 2007, Nike Skateboarding designer James Arizumi introduced the ‘What the Dunk’ SB, a mashup of the most iconic Dunk SB colorways. Five years later, the concept was then adopted by the basketball category, when Graphics Lead Eric Goto applied ‘What The’ styling to the Kobe 7. Since then, Nike Basketball has designed six ‘What The’ models, with four made available to the public.

The latest ‘What The’ release is the LeBron 11, which remixes eight product design elements from past LeBron James signature shoes, along with 20 different graphics and colors from previous drops.

After months of waiting, you can grab these Nike basketball shoes for $250 at Eastbay this Saturday, September 13 at 8:00 a.m. EST / 7:00 a.m. CST. Follow @Eastbay on Twitter and @OfficialEastbay on Instagram for all release information and updates.

A Nike Sportswear staple, Ken Griffey Jr’s debut signature shoe is back for another round.

This time, the Air Griffey Max 1 goes with a look that could be loosely linked to his brief stint with the Chicago White Sox. Black nubuck works with metallic silver leather overlays on the upper, with the logos and branding hits taking their familiar positions throughout.

These casual Nike sneakers are available for $150 at Eastbay. Gradeschool and toddler sizes are on hand as well.

With eyes on innovation, Kobe Bryant and Nike designer Eric Avar pieced together the Kobe 9 Elite Low, described by some as Bryant’s most innovative signature shoe to date. The shoe features three of Nike’s leading technologies — Flyknit, Flywire and Lunarlon — in a lightweight, low-cut package that performs equally on indoor and outdoor surfaces.

Various colorways of the Kobe 9 Elite Low are inspired by Bryant’s personal muses to life. This ‘University Red’ style is linked to his affinity for pop music and its ability to transcend the decades, with artists, songs and dance moves that stand the test of time. Would this particular muse happen to be a glowing-eyed ghoul from the most iconic music video of all-time?

These Nike basketball shoes will be available at Eastbay for $200 this Saturday, September 13 at 8:00 a.m. EST / 7:00 a.m. PST. Follow @Eastbay on Twitter and @OfficialEastbay on Instagram for all release information and updates.

Blast Friday: The Return of a Reebok Classic

Blast Friday: The Return of a Reebok Classic

Reebok The Blast (1)

Originally released in 1996 and famously worn by Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Van Exel, the Reebok Blast returns for the first time tomorrow.

Along with classic sneakers like the Kamikaze 2, Shaqnosis and Big Hurt, the Blast was part of Reebok’s Mobius Collection, a series of 50/50 black and white counterblocked performance models. The shoe is highlighted by a blast-like heel design created by cut-out synthetic overlays. The Blast wasn’t officially a Van Exel signature, but we remember it mostly for being on his feet when he played alongside Shaquille O’Neal, Eddie Jones and a rookie Kobe Bryant during the 1996-1997 season.

In 2011, Reebok resurrected the Blast, modernizing the shoe with a redesigned upper and new tooling. While their intentions were good, it didn’t change the fact that sneakerheads wanted a crack at the original they remembered from ’96. Well, all good things are worth waiting for, and a true Blast retro is going down this week.

You can pick up these classic Reebok basketball shoes in the original White/Black-Excellent Red colorway at Eastbay for $125 tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. EST / 7:00 a.m. CST. Follow @Eastbay on Twitter and @OfficialEastbay on Instagram for all release information and updates.
