What does “For The Love of the Game” Mean?

words_Nick Engvall

You’ve heard the term “For the Love of the Game,” but what does it really mean?

The love for the game is shown differently by every person. It can mean playing late nights on the playground, waking up before the sunrise to get some extra shooting in, extra line drills after everyone else has gone home from practice, or sleeping with the ball in your hands every night. There are countless ways that the love for the game is shown, but when you pick up the ball and just get that feeling, you know you have the love for the game.

Check out what it means to Jordan Brand athletes Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul as well as images from this morning’s World Basketball Festival activities.
