Not long ago, we gave you a look at the brightly colored Salomon SpeedCross 2, and it looks like Salomon will continue with bright colors into the spring with another silhouette receiving its second makeover. In the coming weeks, the second version of the XA Pro 3D Ultra will arrive in this “Pop Green” colorway. Though you don’t always see this type of colorway on an all-terrain trail shoe, this color combo is a favorite amongst casual running shoe wearers.

You may recall the first edition received a great review in the Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra performance review, and the Salomon XA Pro Ultra 3D 2 appears to be following the same path with minimal adjustments in its design. This high-performance running shoe features some of Salomon’s best design features, such as a gusseted tongue to keep annoying debris from getting inside and causing discomfort and a Kevlar Quicklace system that keeps these tightly in place wherever your path may lead. Other features that carry over from the original version include the reinforced toe and heel caps that offer both protection for your feet and added durability, as well as the SENSIFIT system that envelopes your foot with impressive step-in comfort. The finishing touches on the XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 come in the form of Salomon’s Contagrip rubber outsole that is aggressive and capable of handling any terrain you can find.
