Initially debuted in January, the 7.9 ounce adidas adiZero 5-Star Mid has been worn by the nation’s top high school football players at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and several of the NFL’s biggest stars in the 2012 Pro Bowl. Now, Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III shares how the adiZero 5-Star Mid is helping him prepare for the 2012 NFL Draft. More than two ounces lighter than the nearest competitor, these adidas football cleats are designed to make players at all positions faster. With innovation cues taken from the 5-Star Low, the Mid features a single-layer synthetic SPRINTSKIN upper with a SPRINTFRAME base that reduces weight while maintaining support. Internal TPU bands offer increased stability for cuts and direction changes on the field, while triangular-shaped cleats provide players with maximum acceleration and traction on both natural and artificial surfaces.
