Before he was doing “the Dougie” at the University of Kentucky or playing himself into First Team All-Rookie status as a member of the Washington Wizards, John Wall was one of the nation’s top rated prospects at Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina. Transferring from nearby Broughton High School after his sophomore season, Wall led Word of God to the North Carolina Class 1A State Championship in 2009. His individual accomplishments included being selected for the 2009 Nike Hoop Summit and the Jordan Brand Classic at Madison Square Garden.
His time at Word of God won’t be forgotten anytime soon, as Reebok is set to drop his new signature shoe in the colorway of the Holy Rams. The white-based Zig Encore features purple suede detailing on the toebox, Vector logo and eyestay. Additional hits of purple are seen on the inner liner, Wall’s new logo on the tongue, trim along the side panels his high school jersey number “11” on the medial side. Yellow works a wave graphic pattern on the lateral side, the number “11” border and the ZigNano sole, which is finished off with traditional herringbone pattern tread in purple.
