Not since Allen Iverson has a Reebok Basketball athlete garnered as much attention in the sneaker world as Washington Wizards point guard John Wall. Sure, the brand had an exclusive partnership with former Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, but they never took advantage of his global appeal with a strong footwear campaign. The same can’t be said for Wall, who has been the face of Reebok’s basketball range for the last year, hopefully gaining momentum with the launch of his first official signature shoe – the Reebok Zig Encore.

Here’s a closer look at the Zig Encore in a colorway we can expect Wall to be wearing for road games if there is indeed a 2011-2012 NBA season. The shoe sports a black suede upper with contrasting white side panel details and Vector branding. Red takes care of the inner liner and laces, while white handles the ZigNano cushioned midsole. Finishing off the look below is a blue-tinted translucent herringbone traction pattern outsole.

You can pre-order several colorways of these new Reebok basketball shoes over at Eastbay today.
