Shaquille O’Neal isn’t only the self-proclaimed Man of Steel, he also starred in a feature film by the name of Steel in 1997. In the movie, Shaq assumes the role of John Henry Irons, a character who first appeared in 1993 during the Reign of Supermen! storyline in the Superman comic books. Irons and his partner Susan Sparks create a suit of armor that leads to him becoming a superhero and fighting off his nemesis Nathaniel Burke.
To celebrate Shaq’s history of “Steel,” Reebok Classics has released this special silver-based colorway of Shaq’s most recognizable signature shoe, the Shaqnosis. The “Steel” Shaqnosis features an anodized finished, black hits on the inner lining and midsole and a glowing green outsole to really give the shoe superhero pop.
After originally being released in just the Black/White colorway, the Shaqnosis has now been released in four new colorways this year with more to come.
You can get your hands on Shaq’s iron-inspired Reebok basketball shoes here today. Boys’ sizes are also available.
