Now an annual tradition, the NFL marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with their “Crucial Catch” campaign. Throughout the month, games feature players, coaches and referees wearing pink game apparel, on-field pink ribbons, game balls and pink coins to help raise awareness for the campaign. The apparel and accessories are then auctioned off at NFL Auction, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and team charities. NFL Staff and players also take part in several events during the year to make a difference in breast cancer detection and prevention.

Reebok, the current official outfitter of the NFL, certainly makes their presence felt during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As we’ve seen in our weekly NFL Watch posts this month, many Reebok athletes have been provided with pink gloves, cleats and other accessories to show their support for the cause. After seeing athletes like Peyton and Eli Manning, Chad Ochocinco, Joe Flacco, Maurice Jones-Drew and Steve Smith tough it out in pink on Sundays, many fans and football players have been asking when and where they could get their hands on some of this gear. Well, the time is now and the place is Eastbay.

Seen below are the cleats and gloves you’ve seen your favorite players wearing throughout the month. First up is the Reebok NFL U-Form 4Speed Mid. As the name suggests, this cleat is geared toward form fitting your foot. However, the process is a little unorthodox. To begin the form-fitting process, you actually place the shoes in a heated oven for a few minutes, using the heat to create a mold of sorts. After removing the shoes from the oven, you put them on your feet and lace it to your specifications, creating the custom fit. The process can be repeated as often as necessary.

Next up is the Reebok NFL Burner Speed III Low, a speed-enhancing cleat that sports a seamless synthetic upper that gives you an immediate fit with minimal break-in time. Micro-perforations on the upper along with a PlayDry to absorb moisture and disperse heat. A dual-density Ortholite footbed with ETC top cover provide comfort, while traction is provided by a two-piece Hardlink TPU injected plat, equipped with permanent Mortrac FGT.

Lastly, if you’re looking for a pair of gloves to go with your cleats, look no further than the Reebok Mayhem Receiver Glove. A running theme we’re seeing with Reebok’s football gear, the Mayhem glove utilizes lightweight seamless compression technology to shape and mold to your hand. Grip is provided by Reebok’s Griptonite 2.0 technology. Five percent of the proceeds from this glove will go toward Breast Cancer Awareness.

Show your support in the fight against Breast Cancer by picking up these items, and more, here at Eastbay today!
