For years, the Air Flight 89 has been a fan favorite silhouette both on and off the court.

Returning yet again in 2012, this version of the Air Flight ’89 might remind many collectors of the ’99 release of the Air Jordan 4 Retro+, but it’s actually a classic original colorway of the model.

Black premium leather builds the entire upper on these classic Nike Basketball shoes, while cool grey handles the Swoosh, eyelets, midsole, tongue branding and outsole.

This latest colorway of the Air Flight ’89 is now available for purchase from Eastbay.

Available now: Nike Air Flight 89 – Black/Cool Grey

That is actually an original colorway of this shoe – I had them in 1990 playing for my school.

I remember the shoes, but not people rolling their pants legs up like that.

called tight-rolled – and if you were alive in the late 80′s early 90′s and didn’t do that you were OUT.

I love the look of these shoes, especially the red, black, and white colorway, they would go great with some red and black Elite socks!

80s concept. i remember people folding the side of the pant before rolling it up for the tight fit on the ankle
