From Nike’s 2014 Free Running Collection comes the all-new Free 3.0 Flyknit. The collection expands on Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman’s belief that shoe design should place emphasis on the athlete’s body and movement, resulting in the launch of Free in 2004.

The Free 3.0 Flyknit offers the most flexibility in the collection and a four-millimeter heel-to-forefoot offset. Ultra-light Flyknit provides a supportive, contoured fit and complements the Free platform by securing the foot over the low profile sole. Flyknit enables designers to micro-engineer areas of stretch, support and breathability, and to seamlessly integrate Flywire where needed.

An anatomically shaped heel is designed to roll as the athlete’s foot hits the ground. The body-led approach focuses on mimicking the foot’s shape and allows more natural movement. Nike’s first ever outsole with a hexagonal flex groove pattern delivers multi-directional flexibility and helps enable the runner to move freely in all directions.

You’ll be able to pick up these new Nike running shoes, including the Black/Fog pair pictured here, for $140 this Thursday, April 3 at 8:00 a.m. EST / 7:00 a.m. CST. Follow @Eastbay on Twitter and @OfficialEastbay on Instagram for all release information and updates.

  2. Thanks Eastbay!
Having taken to the 3.0 V5 for the past six months.
Looking forward to trying the new 3.0 V6, particularly in this more subtle Black/Midnight Fog/Volt/White colourway.

  3. John Scoones says:

Have recently purchased the Nike flyknit 3.0 V6 and my opinion is as follows

The fit is true to size
The rounded heel is more natural for the runner
I have run 35km Total so far they are a bit tight acroos the top bur will get use too
The sole doesnt collect stones as frequently as the V5 model
I feel that they are more stable and dont appear to be as bulky in the sole as the V5
I am a forefoot runner and the soles are wearing very well

Overall score out of 10 would be 9.8
