With training for new football seasons beginning, Nike is rolling out their newest gridiron footwear. The latest cleat from the Nike camp to drop is the Alpha Speed TD, a lightweight cleat that delivers top-notch traction, a locked-in fit and unforgiving support in a lightweight model built to withstand the rigors of a football season.
Comfort in the Alpha Speed TD is enhanced with the addition of foam in the collar, quilted foam throughout the tongue and forefoot, and foam pods around the Achilles. There’s also a seamless internal toe bumper to protect your toes and reduce irritation and chaffing.
Living up to its name, the Alpha Speed TD features a molded plastic outsole with a 12-cleat configuration that can perform on wet and dry surfaces. The outsole combines cone-shaped and supplemental forefoot studs for excellent traction, along with rectangle heel studs for maximum surface penetration, allowing for effortless cutting and instant acceleration.
The three-quarter silhouette provides additional ankle protection during intense play and multi-directional movement. And the synthetic materials used for the cleat’s construction are both lightweight and durable.
