NCAA Watch: Oregon Takes Rose Bowl Over Wisconsin 45-38

words // Luis Sanchez

As expected, the Rose Bowl between the Oregon Ducks and the Wisconsin Badgers turned out to be one of the highest scoring BCS Bowl Games yet.

Getting off to a quick start, the first half between the Ducks and Badgers displayed enough offense for one game, with the halftime score tied at 28. The second half proved to be just as entertaining, as both teams continued their successful offensive play.

The Ducks ended up with the victory over the Badgers 45-38, earning their first Rose Bowl victory in almost 95 years. The Ducks were led by some amazing play from speedsters LaMichael James and the young DeAnthony Thomas, along with quarterback Darron Thomas who passed for three touchdowns. The victory was Oregon’s first-ever bowl victory under head coach Chip Kelly.

Come on Eastbay, no cleat names were published in this article. Tunei, Paulson, Thomas, and Barner were in the Nike Vapor Talon Elite. Ewing was in the adidas adiZero Smoke and so was Abbrederis for the first half of the game. He then switched to the adiZero Scorch which Nick Toon also wore in the game.
