In most of this year’s Sneaker Watch coverage, Gilbert Arenas has found a way to be featured. Without a footwear contract this year, he’s been switching up his choice regularly, often times reaching into his own personal collection to come out with a Retro that has sneakerheads drooling. However, there are plenty of athletes that get to do the same each and every day in the college ranks.
Over the weekend, hundreds of college teams took to the courts, and there seemed to be a heavy influence of Jordan shoes; more specifically, Jordan Retros. Not all teams will allow players to choose a shoe that isn’t supplied to the team, but for those athletes that can choose, college may be the last chance they get to have a say in their footwear.
With that in mind, many players seem to choose a recent Retro model like the Cool Grey Jordan 11 or the Flint Jordan Retro 13. Some players, however, dig a bit deeper to help them stand out on the court. Check out the NCAA Watch coverage below to see some of the surprises from this weekend’s action.

space jams take it. they always look sick on the feet especially on the court. jordan 6s are my fav though trying to get as many pairs as i can to stock up. got three already. shot out to the dude with the aqua 8s on 2. i could never wear mine still have them dead and in the box.
Would need be the Retro’s that are released in shops or are they modified in any way?
do they get to keep their shoes?
like nails on a chalkboard to see these college kids stretch the lateral boundries on the xi’s….
Jamelle Horne CG 11s look like they gonna fall apart..!
Gotta give it up for Jimmy Butler rockin the Space Jams..!
gotta give it up for Isaiah and his LJ3s. That shoe was a beastly performer, and maybe my favorite shoe in the LeBron line (tied with AZG and LJ2). Not my fav color, but still, a hot shoe that we don’t see too often anymore.
lovin those rising suns, too. one of the cleanest new retro CWs i’ve seen, and definitely one of my fav XIIs (along with playoffs and frenchies)
also surprised not to see kemba walker on here. he’s pretty high profile and he’s been rockin cherry XIIs all season long
And this is why JordanBrand needs to make sure the quality of Retros are for basketball just like the og’s!
