Jered Weaver, as some would say, put the team on his back last night, striking out nine on route to a no-hitter against the Minnesota Twins.
The Angels ace recorded the 10th no-hitter in Angels history, and the second in the MLB this season (only two weeks after Phil Humber’s perfect game).
The Angels hope that Weaver’s effort will change the team’s momentum, after starting the season with a disappointing 10-15 record. Weaver faces the Twins in his next start on May 7 — can he do it again?
