Kyrie Irving Covers Eastbay’s Latest October Issue

words // Luis Sanchez

For Kyrie Irving, there’s a lot that comes with being the number one overall pick in the NBA Draft. From immediately drawing comparisons to Cleveland’s last number one pick LeBron James, to signing an endorsement deal with Nike Basketball, Kyrie has had a lot to deal with even before setting foot on an NBA court. Continuing his rise to stardom as the new face of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ franchise, Kyrie Irving will hit the court in the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011.

Describing them as the perfect shoe for his style of play, Kyrie recently covered Eastbay’s latest October issue in the Zoom Hyperfuse 2011. Not only did Kyrie cover Eastbay’s latest issue, he also took some time out of his busy off-season to sit down and share his Eastbay memories and how the Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 by Nike Basketball became his go-to shoe on-court.

Below, enjoy an exclusive video interview with Kyrie Irving as he shares with us his first memories of Eastbay, as well as the importance of having a basketball shoe that completely fits his game.

Also, be sure to head over to Kyrie’s page at our Athlete Resource Center for more on the Cavaliers’ young point guard.
