How 2014 NFL Draft Prospects Prepare to Win

How 2014 NFL Draft Prospects Prepare to Win

words // Brandon Richard

Tonight, 32 hopefuls will hear their names called as the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft gets underway from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. This year’s draft has been pegged as possibly being one of the most exciting of all-time due to its uncertainty near the top and overall depth. Most experts have the Houston Texans selecting exclusive South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the first overall pick, but even that isn’t a sure thing.

At the 2014 NFL Combine, Eastbay had the opportunity to sit down with some of the players that will be selected tonight and throughout the weekend. In a series of video interviews featured in the playlist below, we found out how these young men are preparing to win at the next level. Speedy players like Baylor safety Ahmad Dixon, Wisconsin running back James White, LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo shared tips on how to stay quick. Big guys like Auburn tackle Greg Robinson and North Carolina guard Russell Bodine describe their preferred gear for battling in the trenches. Penn State guard John Urschel, Cornell quarterback Jeff Matthews and Ball State linebacker Jonathan Newsome are part of a group that explains the benefits of working out in Under Armour Combine and Draft football gear.

See how these soon-to-be pros prepare to win below and see how everything folds tonight at 8:00 p.m. EST.
