Eastbay Photo of the Week: St Patrick’s Day Sneak Peek

words_Nick Engvall

Since the NBA has become more lenient about players wearing non- matching colorways over the past few years, brands and players have taken advantage. Each year more players seem to be hitting the court in special edition shoes designed for a special event or holiday. This year will continue with crazy colorways that have been created for Christmas Day, the 2011 NBA All Star game in February, and St. Patrick’s Day in March.

These basketball shoes will be hitting the court along with countless others that have been dipped in green to celebrate the holiday in one of the only days of the season that teams other than the Boston Celtics can get away with showing some Irish pride. The lucky four leaf clover on the insole of this upcoming release is a creative way of displaying some important numbers for this NBA star.

Let us know which of the many NBA players that will be wearing green belong to in the comments below.
