Eastbay Photo of the Week: adidas Superbeast

words_Nick Engvall

We may be jumping a bit ahead today, considering we’re just moving into All-Star Weekend and today’s Eastbay Photo of the Week is all about St. Patrick’s Day. It might be a little premature, but the bright green on this upcoming limited edition of the adidas Superbeast is almost mesmerizing. With both Orlando Magic home and away colors already available, as well as the All-Star colorway of the Superbeast, the St. Patrick’s Day edition is the first to venture outside of the standard colors we are used to seeing Dwight Howard wear.

The Superbeast is packed with technologies like adidas SprintSkin, which helps “Superman” keep up to speed both on the court and in his Fast World commercials. The SuperBeast also features Alive cushioning and a double-stacked Z-Torsion system, which judging by the way he’s been playing as of late, seems to be working out out well for Dwight. Of course, the St. Patrick’s Day can be identified by its bright green color, but if you need a closer look, you can still see the “Beast” logo on the tongue.
