Eastbay Photo of the Week: adidas Crazy 8

words_Nick Engvall

In the late nineties at the beginning of Kobe Bryant’s career he could be seen on NBA courts wearing a different number, both on his jersey and on his feet. Kobe’s jersey number 8 also inspired a number of designs from adidas Basketball including the adidas Crazy 8. It’s been a couple of years since we last saw adidas retro the Crazy 8 but for the spring it will return once again in extremely limited numbers. This week’s Eastbay Photo of the Week gives us a preview of the Crazy 8’s return.

It may not be seen on the feet of Bryant this time around but the shoe that originated as the adidas KB8 seems to always find its way into collector closets. Along side more subtle colorway combinations like Black and White, a handful of more attention-grabbing colors like Air Force Blue and Gold, and Metallic Gold and Navy combinations will appeal to those looking to make more of a statement.

Look for the adidas Crazy 8 to be available in early February at Eastbay.

Crazy 8s are sick, love the way they look on court. The Gold/Navy ones look pretty nice.
