Eastbay Memory Lane: LaDainian Tomlinson

words_Jordan Hagedorn

The New York Jets signed future Hall of Fame running back LaDainian Tomlinson back on March 14. It was an outside the box signing that made headlines around the NFL and has been paying off ever since.

Although LT isn’t putting up huge numbers this season, he’s contributing to the Jets’ offense and brings intangible leadership and a desire to win. In his career, he has racked up over 12,500 yards on the ground, 4,000+ receiving yards and is 3rd all-time in TDs behind only Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith. He is a 5-time pro bowler, won the 2006 NFL MVP and has been one of the best backs in the NFL since entering the league in 2001.

This Eastbay Memory lane brings us back 5+ years to when LT graced the cover of the August 2005 issue as a Charger.

This catalog also featured the Jordan XIV football cleats and the Nike Air Zoom Apocalypse IV.

Back in 2005, Michael Vick was in his prime and still had his own signature Nike shoe.
