Recent changes for the Orlando Magic have been questioned by seemingly everyone. After a win against the San Antonio Spurs followed by a  Christmas Day win against the Boston Celtics, the hopes are high again for Dwight Howard and the rest of Orlando. While Superman may be his nickname, his upcoming sneaker from adidas Basketball looks a little more like something out of a futuristic Batman’s closet.

Like we saw in the upcoming adidas adiZero Rose 1.5, a light weight upgrade to the current adidas TS Beast that Howard is wearing on the court currently. The key to the keeping things light in the upcoming adidas Superbeast is adidas Sprint Skin technology. Also included in the Superbeast is the adidas Torsion System through the midsole and Alive cushioning system which should help “The Beast” stay at the top of his game as the Orlando Magic try to make a run at the Eastern Conference’s top teams heading into the second half of the season.

The first colorway of the adidas Superbeast will come in the Orlando Magic road colorway of black and blue. Details like the translucent ice blue outsole and Dwight Howard’s image screened onto the tongue should make this one an easy addition to the closet for fans of Dwight Howard.

The adidas Superbeast will be available in February at Eastbay.

There is nothing bad anywhere on this shoe, from a looks standpoint, regardless of what anyone says.

I really really like the way these look!!! Finally Adidas is trying to step it up with a new cushioning system, hopefully it works. I will definately be scoopin a pair of these when they drop. From the pics the only thing that looks questionable to me is the sole. The sole doesn’t look like they would have much traction on the court

Stop whining about the cushioning, adidas cushioning always works, it’s the most responsive cushioning out there(remember that bouncy feel does not mean responsive, bounciness actually limits reaction times so you’re gonna loose a step, being responsive means quickly breaking, and scattering the impact, then stabilizing, so you can put power into your feet), and there’s no other brand that does that better.

I’ve seen more and more improvements with adidas technology lately. It’s been really exciting to witness the evolution of the brand within the basketball genre. No doubt the SuperBeast will push this technology even further, I certainly will be picking up a pair.

these are a sure buy for me. it’s got everything i need in a shoe: cush, stability, traction. not particular with the weight and ventilation but that’s a welcome bonus for me. through all the brands i’ve worn, adidas never failed in the key departments of cushioning and durability. truly bang for the buck.

Lots of details, but it all flows quite well. That heel notch sits really really low from the looks of the photo, or maybe the shoe is a really really high cut? I like how the laces have the three stripe texture, a very cool detail indeedy.
