With the NBA All-Star Weekend just a few weeks away, we’ll begin to see all sorts of All-Star-inspired releases for the upcoming event that will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles from February 18th-20th. The team at adidas Originals gets the ball rolling with two of the company’s casual styles leading the way.
Representing the Western Conference is a low-cut version of the iconic adidas Basketball shoe, the Forum. This mid-’80s basketball shoe has become a legend over the years thanks to the Three Stripes and Trefoil logo that this time around are dipped in a gold finish. The teams in the 2011 All-Star Game will wear red and blue jerseys, so just like the Western Conference is slated to wear red, the Forum Low receives a burgundy suede finish that is topped off with “The West” across the tongue.
As for the Eastern Conference fans, adidas Originals has created a special makeup of the Adirise Mid. “The East” takes up residence on the tongue to let you know which team you’re representing while wearing these. Unlike the simple approach of the Western Conference shoe, the Adirise Mid features a unique carrying pouch that attaches to the laces so you can carry your iPod, cash or other paraphernalia. For the Adirise, a Deep Navy color covers the upper and is accented with white details.
